The 2025 NFL season might be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean pro football is over yet. The 2026 UFL season is set to kick off in March, which will feature a multitude of former NFL players looking for a second chance to make a name for themselves.

One of those players is former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson. The UFL announced on Monday that Thompson-Robinson was selected by the Orlando Storm in its quarterback draft.

Anthony Becht, who spent the prior three seasons as the head coach of the St. Louis Battlehawks, will be calling the shots in Orlando. Thompson-Robinson will be competing with Jack Plummer to see who will be the Storm’s starting QB.

The last time we saw Thompson-Robinson on the field was in the preseason with the Eagles. The dual-threat quarterback was acquired from the Cleveland Browns in the Kenny Pickett trade this past offseason. Thompson-Robinson was competing with rookie Kyle McCord to be the Eagles’ QB3, but his play left a lot be desired.

In two preseason games, the ex-Browns’ fifth-round pick completed 62.5 percent of his passes (10-of-16) for 73 yards and an interception. The Eagles released Thompson-Robinson shortly after their final preseason game in August.

After his release from Philadelphia, the former UCLA standout has reportedly worked out for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Jets.

The UFL is a perfect opportunity for the ex-Eagles signal caller to get some meaningful reps, as he’s struggled to find his footing in the NFL. And there’s no better coach to do with than Becht, who has gotten the most out of his QBs during his time with the Battlehawks.

Thompson-Robinson has completed 52.6% of his passes for 880 yards, a touchdown, and 10 interceptions, while adding 187 rushing yards across 15 career NFL games.
