Welcome to this week’s edition of the Eagles Weekly Recap. It’s an early start to the week for the Philadelphia Eagles, but they look to secure their eighth-straight victory after a dominating 35-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. Before we get into tonight’s primetime action, let’s recap all the latest happenings involving the Philadelphia Eagles.
- Tonight, the Eagles will head to Houston to take on the Texans in a Thursday Night Football showdown. While the Eagles have remained perfect, the Texans have largely struggled this season, posting a 1-5-1 record through their first seven games. In a bit of programming irony, the Philly/Houston game will be shown locally on WPHL 17 instead of FOX 29 as the other important Philly/Houston game will take its place. The game can also be streamed on Amazon Prime. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
- In some major injury news, the Eagles announced that defensive tackle Jordan Davis has been placed on injured reserve and will miss at least four weeks after an ankle injury suffered during Sunday’s victory.
- In a couple of early-week roster moves, the Eagles signed cornerback Javelin Guidry to the practice squad. Guidry last played for the Las Vegas Raiders after stints with the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals. The Eagles also released wide receiver Deon Cain.
- After his monstrous three-touchdown performance against the Steelers, wide receiver A.J. Brown humorously posted to his Twitter page that he was randomly drug tested Monday morning. Players in the past have noticed random testing coming after dominating performances, but all signs indicate that Brown is well in the clear.
That’s it for this week. Stay tuned with Total Sports Live for the latest involving the Philadelphia Eagles.
