With the 2025 NBA Draft officially in the books, the Philadelphia 76ers and the other 29 NBA teams are now working on putting together their NBA Summer League rosters and signing undrafted rookies to two-way contracts.
According to Spotrac.com, the Sixers already have one two-way spot occupied (Alex Reese), leaving them with two open slots. On Thursday night, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Philadelphia has signed former Wake Forest guard Hunter Sallis to a two-way deal.

The 6-foot-4, 181-pound guard spent the last two years at Wake Forest after beginning his collegiate career at Gonzaga. Sallis did not play much with the Zags (15.3 minutes per game) but started to come into his own with the Demon Deacons.
In his first season at Wake (2023-24), Sallis averaged 18.0 points per game on 48.7 percent shooting from the field and 40.5 percent from beyond the arc on 5.4 attempts per game. He also recorded 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 35.4 minutes per game. Sallis was rewarded for his performance, as he was named All-ACC first team.
The 6-foot-4 guard continued to score at a high clip this past season (18.3 points per game) for the Demon Deacons. However, Sallis’ three-point percentage dropped from 40.5 to 27.7 on 4.8 attempts per game.
Despite this dip, Sallis still averaged 5.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game and was again named to the All-ACC first team.
ESPN’s Jonathan Givony had the former Wake Forest standout ranked No. 55 overall on his draft board. Since he’s going to be on a two-way pact, Sallis will have a chance to work on his three-point shot while showcasing his defensive motor with the Delaware Blue Coats (Sixers’ NBA G League affiliate) this upcoming season.
